What you'll do

We have two positions available for the successful candidates to operate waste water treatment works and associated waste water pumping stations to company BMS and
Health and Safety requirements. This will include:

  • Inducting, supervising and managing outside contractors carrying out revenue and reactive capital
  • maintenance breakdowns and projects ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety and BMS
  • requirements and ensuring quality control.
  • Liaising with ME&I craftsmen on revenue and reactive capital maintenance work.
  • Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation.
  • Participate in out of hours standby and weekend work
  • Liaising and coordinating with the area Supervisor and team members on operating activities and
  • formulating effective and efficient cost reductions plans and savings.
  • Ensuring correct compliance to required EC Directives, BMS and other company standards and
  • procedures including Health & Safety.
  • Willing to develop and learn within the role and have the flexibility and competence to operate
  • and maintain multiple sites and participate in an out of hour’s standby system.
  • Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

 

What you'll need

Essential:

  • Experience gained in the industry to ensure full compliance and adherence to all
  • H&S issues.
  • Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day.
  • Awareness of regulatory bodies such as DWI and Environment Agency/NRW.
  • Dealing with discharge consent licence for all environmental discharges.
  • Computer systems literate including SAP, Scope X, Exchange, Word and Excel are essential. 

 

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 or higher, BTEC, ONC/HNC qualifications in Waste Water Treatment
  • Process Operations.
  • Experience gained in the industry with use of SCADA systems, Instrumentation
  • and Mechanical and Electrical equipment.
  • Fully conversant with Company BMS procedures and Health and Safety
  • requirement and control.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in Welsh.
