You'll be responsible for all aspects of the co-ordination and planning for all activity across the SP Energy Networks Transmission network to facilitate emergency work, maintenance and all investment work.
This involves the management of safety, system integrity, customer service and co-ordination of system access while ensuring compliance with the Transmission licence. An integral part of this will involve mentoring and coaching team members and developing and encouraging a strong team culture.
Responsible for minimising risk and constraints to the Transmission network by co-ordinating activities with the Transmission Operations and Major Projects management teams to ensure all works are planned and co-ordinated with the NESO, SPD and any other third parties. Customer risk is managed and communicated effectively whilst facilitating the pace needed to deliver our significant investment plans.
Responsible for the development of policies and strategies associated with planning activities ensuring robust controls and sign offs are in place and escalations take place to Exec team and Senior Managers where customer risk is high. This will involve engaging and working closely with other parts of the business, HSE, DESNZ, OFGEM, NESO, NGET, SSEN-T and other DNO's. Represent SPT and at times SPD interests in Government led Industry Groups.
Responsible for all aspects of Planning across our network. Responsible for ensuring SPT has a resilient network whilst investment work and maintenance is taking place.
Manage the Planning Team interfaces with the Distribution Control Room, Transmission Control Room, Distribution Planning, SPT Operations and Major Projects, other departments within SPEN (Scotland), and external parts of the business.
Assist in the development and delivery of the annual Operating Plan, which is consistent with the delivery of SPTs network investment, maintenance, and operational excellence goals.
Manage the Planning interfaces with the Transmission Control Room, Distribution Control Room, Distribution Operational Planning, SPT Operations and Major Projects, other departments within SPEN (Scotland), and external parts of the business.
