We're looking for a Technical Training Specialist to support our Wastewater Treatment business area and help shape the future of technical learning across our operations.

This is a hands-on, specialist role where you'll design and deliver high-impact training programmes that ensure our colleagues are safe, competent and confident in their roles.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the development of training programmes for new and existing wastewater treatment roles
  • Designing and delivering blended learning solutions mapped to water industry frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Conducting competence assessments to ensure safe and compliant operational performance
  • Collaborating with Health & Safety partners and subject matter experts to review and enhance training content
  • Supervising and monitoring colleagues during training to ensure safety and performance standards
  • Building training plans that cover both initial and refresher needs across the business
  • Producing lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment criteria for internal programmes
  • Maintaining relationships with accrediting bodies like Energy & Utility Skills
  • Advising on the creation and management of technical Standard Operating Procedures, Asset Care Plans, and Health & Safety procedures
  • Capturing and acting on delegate feedback to continuously improve training delivery

What we're looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in Wastewater Treatment operations
  • Time-served or qualified to BTEC, NVQ, HNC, or equivalent level
  • Working towards or holding a recognised teaching or assessor qualification
  • Strong knowledge of technical and health & safety requirements across wastewater roles
  • Experience developing and assessing technical competence and training content
  • Familiarity with competence frameworks and regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of experience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and business expectations
