What will my role involve?

Your role is to ensure that Anglian Water's Street Works noticing systems, are correctly configured to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, and to avoid charges for non-compliance. To create, maintain and administrate all data and data fields on the systems to ensure consistency for all users. To look at continuous improvement in the way Anglian Water users use the systems. To carry out all testing on all system upgrades or changes and any interfaces with other Anglian Water systems. To develop reports and queries within the available systems to meet business requirements and resilience across the team's responsibilities which include the following key areas: -

  • Gather and translate our internal requirements, external requirements and legislative requirements into technical requirements to ensure solutions that meet business needs and legislation

  • Design and develop reports using the relevant system and crystal reporting to meet business needs and to ensure regulatory requirements are met

  • Optimise systems to ensure regulatory performance

  • Provide technical support on the Street Works systems and other IT related projects

  • Manage testing, release, scheduling and integration of system updates with the system providers and Anglian Water stakeholders.

  • Control access to the Street Works systems, through the creation of usernames, user groups, access permissions and profiles

  • Benchmark other utilities who use the same systems to share best practice

  • Maintenance of the Street Works Dashboard - single set of information on KPIs and other performance measures

  • All reporting outputs from the street works data required across the business

  • Data gathering to support performance and compliance and fine reduction

  • Support with the administration and maintenance of the street works pages on Anglian Water's intranet, ensuring information is always up to date and easy for users to find

  • To monitor and analyse system data to ensure performance levels and legislative requirements are complied with so preventing financial risk to the business.

What does it take to be a Technical Support & Compliance Analyst ?

Proven experience and working knowledge of IT systems

Experience of producing database led reports

Proven expert knowledge and expertise in the use of MS Excel

Ideally knowledge of Street works legislation (NRSWA, Traffic Management Act, Permit Regulations, Road Traffic Regulation Act)

Desired but not essential - Street Works Systems functionality and technical specifications

Desired working knowledge of Power BI
