We have a fantastic opportunity within our IT department for a Technical Consultant. Anglian Water have recently completed a role out of Office 365, as well as a complete refresh of our desktop estate and we are looking for a dynamic, innovative and passionate IT professional to help champion this!

What will your now role involve?

You will be part of an exciting team of Technical Consultants who all work in our Tech Bars in our large offices. You will provide face to face support to colleagues who need help and advice on how to get the most out of the technology they use.

The Tech Bars are dedicated environments, designed to support colleagues in the buildings where they work but we also have lots of colleagues that need our help and support at other sites across our region and this role, with the support of the wider team, will focus on delivering just that.

There is a lot to learn and even more to keep up to date with. We have recently moved to O365 and we want to make sure we get the most out of it as well as supporting our colleagues with other types of technology that they use in their day to day roles such as SAP, mapping applications or work management systems.

You will provide support for any queries or issues raised, this will be a mix of direct contact from colleagues and responding to tickets that have been raised through our IT Service Desk.

You will provide support to colleagues consuming technology on their tablets, laptops, mobile phones and on desktop computer's and thin clients.

You may be asked to support your IT colleagues with investigating an issue and getting to the root cause, being the eyes and ears at our more remote sites when we need them.

You'll champion and develop end users understanding of technology, helping your colleagues to learn new and more efficient ways of collaborating, you may do this by running small, informal training sessions face to face or virtually.

You'll provide remote support to colleagues, talking them through how to resolve an issue over the phone or using screen sharing technologies.

What does it take to be a Technical Consultant?

*Being able to put the customer at the heart of everything you do. You will be expected to act as an ambassador and role model for great service and customer excellence

*Having experience of working in a customer facing role where you have provided help, support and or training to individuals

*Experience of using Office 365 applications such as Teams, Sway, Planner, ToDo and stream.

*The ability to work closely with others, asking for help and support when you need to.

*You can take personal responsibility for situations, doing what you say you will

Previous experience of delivering training / upskilling would be advantageous

*Previous experience in a role where you have provided IT support / help / advice would be advantageous
