Support Engineer - Pressure Management
Competitive starting salary from £37,440
Up to 10% bonus
Permanent

Located in Doxford Park, Sunderland

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Engineer within our Pressure Management team. This role is an integral part of our small and established team at our offices in Doxford Park, Sunderland.

You will contribute to the development and the implementation of strategies to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the gas transportation network and play a main role in the day-to-day activities within the Pressure Management team.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to
•    Monitoring and controlling District Governor pressures
•    Identifying and reporting Governor and Pressure points to Maintenance teams
•    Producing MI based on pressure data used for leakage reporting
•    Preparation of leakage related data for annual Leakage / Shrinkage reporting
•    Optimising the RIIO leakage incentive mechanism

What we are looking for in our Support Engineer
•    Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
•    High level of numerical and mathematical ability
•    Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•    Excellent communication skills verbal, written and numerical
•    Strong team player, whilst also having the ability to work on their own initiative with a proactive attitude
•    Although training will be provided covering our pressure monitoring systems; a good level of general IT knowledge and experience will be required
•    Knowledge of appropriate legislation, NGN Policies and Procedures and of the gas network would be highly advantageous in this role
•    A full UK driving licence
