We are seeking a highly driven Strategic Finance Analyst to join us in a high-profile position where you will have direct access to senior stakeholders both internally and externally. You will need to manage various priorities in this fast-paced role, therefore you will need to have effective organisational abilities and an acute attention to detail.

Your financial modelling ability will be crucial to meeting the demands of our company, investors, shareholders, and other external stakeholders.

This is a hybrid role, you will need to be comfortable taking ownership and initiative when working independently. The position provides the chance to own and run our shareholder model, which is essential for our strategic decision making and valuation assessments. This position will provide important financial modelling expertise and technical support that will help inform and support South East Water’s financing initiatives over the upcoming regulatory period.

What will you be accountable for?

  • Day-to-day ownership of the shareholder model that supports the valuation of SEW within our shareholders’ funds and monitors our financial resilience and long-term financial viability
  • Support financing and refinancing processes and produce financial modelling and analysis to inform financing decisions
  • Produce financial modelling and analysis to inform the development of Budgets, Corporate Plans and Business Plans
  • Calculate covenant ratios as required and assess the impact of various proposals on financial metrics
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Support commercial assessments and provide analysis for special projects as required
  • Populate regulatory data tables relating to SEW’s actual company structure, and respond to queries from SEW’s regulators
  • Reconcile the outputs of various models and sources, and explain/resolve any deviations as required
  • Support the preparation of Board papers and financial forecasts for Group companies
  • Draft investor reports for lenders and shareholders, and respond to investor queries as required
  • Lead the annual GRESB process and responses to other ESG-related investor reporting
  • Respond to investor and credit rating agencies’ requests for information
  • Support the Investor Relations department as required

 

What do you bring to the role?

  • An accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CFA) is essential
  • Relevant experience in investor relations, financial analysis, or corporate finance.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Excel and the rest of the Microsoft Office suite
