So that we can do this, we've formed a new Marketing and Experience team and we're hunting for exceptional people in and around our regions to join us in our mission to help our consumers save water, act as stewards of the local environment and to offer simple, effortless experiences when they interact with us.

As our Social Media Lead, you'll be responsible for planning, creating and managing all consumer social media content and marketing to engage and educate our consumers. You'll constantly evolve our presence on social media by developing new channels, testing new ideas, keeping up to date with platform developments and trends, plus you'll be working with internal teams to co-ordinate activity and providing support to our front-line team. You'll also be analysing the performance of the content, monitoring customer perceptions and reporting on the results in order to improve overall performance.

Reporting into the Digital Content Manager and working closely with the Customer Experience team and Brand Campaign Manager you will:

  • Take responsibility for developing and implementing a new social media strategy.
  • Plan, manage and oversee the schedule for our organic Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube posts.
  • Work closely with the Brand Team and agencies on paid campaign activity.
  • Support our internal teams with community responses, local works notifications and raising any risks.
  • Write jargon-free, engaging and on-brand social copy.
  • Generate new content ideas to improve engagement and capture attention.
  • Report monthly on social media activity to our senior team and share insights with key internal stakeholders.
  • Keep your eye on the social media landscape so we keep up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies

  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative, appealing and on-brand.


  • A creative copywriter
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a social media strategy and improving engagement in any industry
  • Demonstrable experience of managing, scheduling and moderating Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram,
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to create images, GIFs and other social content using other content creation platforms (or Adobe packages desirable).
