We're looking for a SHE Manager to join our Major Projects team based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth.

Location: Plymouth, Devon (Subsistence packages available + Car / Car Allowance)

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities

As SHE Manager, you'll be working within the Nuclear Major Projects team at Devonport Dockyard, supporting in delivering continual SHE improvements across the project and business unit.

Your day to day will include:

  • Ensuring Kier's SHE procedures are implemented to allow all relevant legislation to be complied with
  • Provide support and advice to any part of Kier business unit operations on SHE issues and to ensure that the Kier SHE policies and any local guidance are fully aligned in order that no conflict or confusion exists
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are correctly reported and support is provided to investigations in accordance with Kier SHE policies and procedures
  • Ensure all SHE lessons learnt and other High Value Learning Events (HVLEs) are communicated

What are we looking for?

This role of SHE Manager is great for you if:

  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent (or demonstrable IPD/CPD equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 Standards
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Experience in similar or supporting post
  • Experience working understanding of SHE legislation
