Application Deadline: 27 March 2026

Department: Finance

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Jersey, Channel Islands

Reporting To: Ana Alves

Description

As a Senior Treasury Officer, you will lead the Group's Treasury function, ensuring strong liquidity management, effective risk control and robust financial governance. This is a key role within Finance, supporting both day-to-day operations and longer-term strategic objectives.

You will oversee the Treasury Management Policy, manage cash flow forecasting and daily liquidity, and ensure appropriate hedging, debt management and covenant compliance. Acting as the primary contact for banking relationships, you will maintain effective account governance, negotiate banking services and uphold a strong control environment across treasury operations.

The role includes monitoring foreign exchange, interest rate and liquidity risks, delivering clear treasury reporting and providing insight to senior leadership on cash performance and financial exposure. You will also support budgeting, forecasting and half-year and year-end reporting, including audit requirements, while working collaboratively across Accounting, AP/AR, Tax and FP&A teams.

We are seeking a proactive and analytical professional who values accuracy, collaboration and continuous improvement, and who is motivated to strengthen and develop the Group's treasury capability within an inclusive and high-performing environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Treasury Officer, you will play a central role in maintaining the financial stability, resilience and governance of the Group. Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead the development, review and communication of the Group Treasury Management Policy, ensuring it remains current, effective and aligned with strategic objectives. Ensure hedging activities are executed in accordance with policy and oversee the prudent use of financial instruments and debt facilities.
  • Monitor and manage daily cash positions across the Group, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate short- and long-term cash flow forecasts to support informed financial planning.
  • Act as the primary contact for all banking relationships, overseeing bank account governance including account setup, maintenance, signatory controls and compliance. Negotiate banking fees, credit facilities and treasury services, and ensure financial covenants are monitored, reviewed and adhered to at all times.
  • Lead daily treasury operations, including payments, collections and reconciliations, maintaining a robust internal control environment. Ensure compliance with treasury policies and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement in processes, systems and automation.
  • Monitor and manage foreign exchange, interest rate and liquidity risks, executing approved hedging strategies where appropriate. Evaluate market conditions and provide clear recommendations to senior management to support effective financial decision-making.
  • Produce high-quality treasury reporting, including cash flow forecasts, liquidity dashboards and debt schedules. Provide insight to Finance leadership on cash performance, funding capacity and risk exposure, and support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities.
  • Support the Accounts Payable function by performing independent bank account verification checks to reduce fraud and operational risk. Ensure foreign currency payments are established and processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Accounting, AP/AR, Tax, FP&A and senior leadership to support half-year and year-end financial reporting processes. Assist with audit requirements by preparing treasury documentation and responding to related queries, ensuring accurate and complete disclosure.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Commercially minded with proven business experience and an understanding of how treasury supports wider organisational objectives.
  • Experience in FX trading and managing foreign exchange exposure.
  • Practical experience developing, maintaining or operating within a treasury policy framework.
  • Strong experience within a finance or treasury environment.
  • Treasury qualification or certificate (or similar) desirable; part-qualified accountant advantageous but not essential.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Professional and approachable, building trusted working relationships across the business.
  • Diplomatic and tactful, with sound judgement and discretion in sensitive matters.
  • Collaborative team player who contributes positively to a high-performing environment.
  • Insightful and self-aware, with a commitment to continuous improvement and strong personal integrity.
