Redhill and Field based

£35,000-£37,275 plus shift allowance

 

As Repair and Maintenance (Utilities) Supervisor you will report to the Section Manager, supervise and assist with managing a team of Trainee Utilities Fitters and Utilities Fitters to safely deliver day to day operations efficiently. You’ll provide, and inspire your team to, the highest standard of service and communications our customers always deserve to ensure we are upholding our values of Service, Integrity, Collaboration, Commitment, Compassion and Innovation.

 

You will have:

  • Experience in a relevant water industry position
  • NRSWA Units 1-6 + 9 - Supervisor (or equivalent)
  • National Water Hygiene Card
  • Health and Safety Training 
  • Experience in excavation, trench support & safe digging practices
  • Computer literacy
  • Driving Licence

 

Your main duties will include:

  • Assigned a standby rota supporting with out of hours repair and maintenance emergency work - 1 in every 5  weeks
  • Site audits including, quality, SLG, safe working practices, plant and equipment checks, Cat and Genny downloads, etc.
  • Complying with relevant environmental and safety legislation
  • Managing complex repair and maintenance jobs, liaising with Highway Authorities, key stakeholders, customers, and traffic management providers etc.
  • Driving productivity of repair crews and ‘right first time’ approach
  • Reducing aborted works, reworks and reducing traffic management fines, identifying money saving, operational efficiencies
  • Developing Trainees and Utilities Fitters, with onsite mentorship, identification of training needs and assessment
  • Investigating customer complaints and providing a solution
  • Undertaking Cleg testing and quality checks on backfill and reinstatement activity
  • Supporting and helping to identify and trial industry innovations
  • On site incident management support
  • Collaboration with other parts of the business to ensure smooth effective operations
  • Representing R&M team at Company-wide forums
