Job Description

Salary: £31,500

 

Field Based: Covering parts of Surrey, Kent and South Croydon from Morden and South Croydon in the north to Gatwick Airport in the south, Cobham, Leatherhead and Dorking in the west to Edenbridge in the east.

 

Reporting to the Section Manager you will be responsible for clearing sites of all relevant signing, lighting, and guarding equipment once the final reinstatement has been completed by making scheduled and unscheduled clearances across our supply network.

Other duties and responsibilities will include:

 

  • Washing down sites with a jetwash to avoid Section 74 overrun charges.
  • Completing ‘site clear’ information and photos on the businesses job management system. 
  • Maintaining the highest standards of customer, health, safety, environmental and quality standards on site, and to ensure that all stakeholders are always given full consideration and respect.
  • Provide a proactive and responsive service to the reinstatement white top teams by delivering the necessary requirements and supporting in any other site-based needs.
  • Ensure sites are left cleared and safe at the end of a job.
  • Help maintain the store of SLG equipment, ensuring they are safe, the stock levels are right and reporting any missing equipment/low stock to your supervisor.
  • Daily routine checks and maintenance of the delivery vehicles.
  • Completing allocated work(s) and work records within the planned timescales to the SES Water standard of Safety and Quality.
  • Take all reasonable steps to uphold the environmental values of SES Water.
  • Assistance with tidying the Redhill yard.

 

If you are an experienced back up driver with a background working in construction or utility environment (preferably with an HGV licence) it won’t be a surprise to learn that you’ll need to be physically fit and will be working outside in all weathers.

We provide the protective clothing and need you to bring a willingness to learn, a flexible attitude to work (there is a 1 in 4 standby shift pattern) and a proactive and communicative approach.

Ideally, we’d like you to have:

  • HGV driving licence
  • NRSWA qualification (Units 1-6+9).
  • Grab Ticket.
  • National Water Hygiene.
  • Abrasive wheels.

But we recognise that we can’t always have what we want, so don’t be put off applying if you are don’t have some/any of these.  We can provide training if necessary. Skills are important, but your attitude to work and learning is most important.
