We are looking for a Field Debt Solutions Agent to join our Field Operations team based in the West Midlands.

Here's what you'll be doing

We are looking for agents with customer service experience to work in Field Debt Solutions as part of our new mobile SWAT Team.

In this role you will be required collect and prevent future debt through site investigations, face to face negotiation and support on warrant action if required.

Delivering excellent customer service in the field environment investigating and resolving any disputes. You will ensure that any customer contact is carried out with integrity and in a manner that achieves the right balance between E.ON business objectives and leaving the customer with a positive, professional experience. You will identify vulnerable customers and ensure all payment options are explored and E.ON continue to help these customers. Where appropriate you will identify where we need to exchange electricity and/or gas meters to Smart Pay As You Go or Classic Prepayment

If required you will lead a warrant team to force entry (where necessary) to customer premises to exchange/disconnect metering.

You will investigate suspected metering tampering cases, collecting evidence and rectifying any confirmed energy theft instances and taking appropriate actions to make the site safe.

Another part of the role is to investigate and identify new tenants through face to face discussions, Letting Agents, neighbours observing DPA (Data Protection Act) at all times.

At all times in your role, you will promote energy efficiency, offering advice, explaining customer consumption and ways of reducing this and payment of future bills so that we are helping customers now and in the future.

Please note - The SWAT Team will be required to travel to all areas of the country, working away to help clear areas of high work volumes. SWAT agents must be prepared to work away at all times, staying away from Sunday night and returning home on Friday. There may also be the need to work locally depending on business needs. There are shift options available and overnight allowances and dinner allowances are also payable.



What we need from you
  • Flexible and able to travel and stay away nationwide.
  • Proven customer service background.
  • A full valid UK/EU driving licence (preferably clean but with a maximum of 6 points).
  • Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • An understanding of the utilities market.
  • Adapts easily to change.
  • Ability to demonstrate investigation skills.

 It would be great if you have/are

  • Basic PC skills.
  • Highly motivated to recover, resolve and prevent debt with minimal supervision.
  • Works well to objectives and responds positively to feedback on performance.
