Job Title: Quality Control Engineer

Location: Bournemouth

Business Area: Kier Utilities- South West Water

Contract: Permanent- Full Time

We are Kier, one of the UK's leading construction and infrastructure services and we are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to join our Utilities team in Bournemouth.

As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the onsite quality control and monitoring for packages of works (MEICA & Civils activities) to meet water industry/ South West Water's standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor onsite works quality through inspections and physical checks to ensure compliance and indicate the necessary actions in collaboration with construction team to resolve minor deficiencies
  • Liaise with Client's nominated person for matters relating to quality control of Works and organise inspections
  • Ensure quality documentation and records are appropriately collated and maintained
What do we need from you?

  • Hold HND or Degree in Construction or related subject
  • Demonstrable knowledge and practical application of quality control activities
  • Able to interpret MEICA & Civil engineering drawings and specification, as well as ability to keep clear and accurate records and reports
  • Hold a full driving licence and CSCS card
