Job Title Project and Implementation Manager 

Location Aspect house, Blantyre 

Salary from £58,000, up to 20% bonus, health care and car allowance

This role is required to delivery specific programmes of work within SmartThis will include driving, leading and delivering these assigned tasks across all areas of the Smart and ensure compliance to internal / external standard with governance and reporting in place 


What you'll be doing 

You will be responsible for the management and reporting of the Change Requests for Smart. This will include the preparation of the monthly pack for the Smart Director in the status of each CR and linking in with the Centre of Excellence on delivery and attendance of the Customer Business Change Forum to request changes for Smart. 


Responsible for the management and reporting of the FUSA and ISO 27001 requirements for Smart. This will include the preparation of the monthly pack for the Smart Director at the SMSGC and linking in with Cyber and UKIT colleagues to deliver the overall requirements. 


Responsible for the preparation of the Internal Control Meeting (ICM) pack to ensure that information relating to KPI's and commentary across SFS, Demand and Finance is provided for review prior to the monthly session, with ultimate sign off from the Smart Director before final submission for the call 



What you'll bring 

  • Educated to degree level, or with extensive relevant experience. 

  • Knowledge of Smart Metering in the UK  

  • Excellent Project Governance and Delivery skills 

  • Good knowledge of all relevant ScottishPower IT Systems and the additional office software required to interact with them.  

  • Excellent knowledge of Customer Business value chain to identify and anticipate issues for the wider business from any metering related activity. In addition, create & nurture an extensive network of contacts across ScottishPower & external partners to work with the wider business on any issues. 

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills  

  • Good commercial knowledge and experience; understanding the drivers and motivations of contracted partners and using this to influence change for the benefit of ScottishPower. 

  • An ability to build sound working relationships with all internal customers & develop strong relationships with external parties, influencing these parties to meet your deliverables 

  • Well-developed communication, influencing and negotiation skills at senior management level. 

  • Experience of establishing training plans and delivering training desirable but not essential. 

  • Sound understanding of the commercial environment and ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and to take risk balanced decisions.  

  • Proven ability to generate continuous improvement in daily operations. 

  • Ability to lead a team, identifying and implementing a number of changes. 

  • Ability to manage a range of complex relationships both internally and externally, often against a backdrop of conflicting aims and priorities.
