Health, Safety & Compliance
Supervise construction works to ensure they are completed safely and to the required quality standard, identify unsafe or non compliant activities and take immediate corrective action.
Champion safety and promote a strong Safe to Say culture across site activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015.
Review and accept contractors' RAMS and carry out regular safety audits
Work closely with the Senior Authorised Person to maintain site and safety from the system.
Ensure incidents, near misses, and accidents are reported and investigated correctly.
Site Supervision & Delivery
Monitor quality of workmanship and materials against approved documentation and standards
Review contractor quality documentation including Quality Plans, ITPs, and test results
Ensure construction activities align with the accepted programme and raise issues where non compliance is observed
Maintain accurate site records, inspection logs, and photographic records
Commercial & Contractual Support
Enact the role of Supervisor under NEC3/NEC4 contracts,
Monitor and confirm that the Works are executed in accordance with the Scope, accepted designs, specifications, and contractual requirements
Attend, witness, and record testing and inspections in line with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
Identify, record, and notify Defects within the timescales set out in the contract
Issue Defects Certificates and confirm correction of notified Defects where applicable
Provide factual and timely reports to the Project Manager on site activities and compliance
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
Act as a professional interface between the Employer, Project Manager, and Contractor
Support effective communication and coordination across site stakeholders and third parties
Contribute to early identification of issues through NEC mechanisms (e.g. Early Warnings), without managing contractor delivery actions
Promote collaborative behaviours aligned with NEC principles while preserving contractual independence
