About The Role



2 x Brand New Roles – Hybrid working – Projects around Suffolk and Essex

As Project Supervisor you will be the National Grid representative across multiple construction sites, ensuring that the site-based construction activities are efficiently managed in accordance with National Grid policies and procedures discharging the duties of ‘Client Representative’ with a keen eye on safety and the quality of the installation. 


You be working with a growing and motivated team of colleagues; all part of completing a part of the £18bn ASTI framework Strategic Infrastructure upgrades.

About You

In this case, we’re looking for someone who is organised, with excellent attention to detail and communication skills and, ideally, demonstrable experience of working within a construction site but this is not essential. 

You’ll have a good understanding of Safety and Environmental legislation, practices, and policies. With an awareness of contract management within fixed price and target cost contracts, you’ll also have an appreciation of quality management systems.

What You'll Do



•    Ensure that the Principal Contractor (PC) is pro-active in discharging his duties under the CDM regulations, not least in managing all safety aspects of the construction-based activities 
•    Ensure the facilitation of regular site safety walks, holding coordination meetings with all contractors on site, ensuring that access/egress to the site is controlled, and maintaining a site log/diary
•    Review the suitability of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
•    Ensure the PC is proactive in holding Site Progress Meetings and issues minutes of these meetings promptly
•    Support Quality Assurance monitoring across the project to help aid progress validation and to ensure value is secured
•    Enacting the role of Employers ‘Supervisor’ under NEC contracts
•    Issue site instructions following agreement from the EPC Project Manager and authenticate any record sheets issued by the PC
•    Ensure that a drawing documentation system is established on site, which clearly indexes drawings logged and filed in specific sections
•    Maintain the system throughout with the latest working drawings/revisions clearly noted and drawings filed to ensure they are readily available

A competitive starting salary between £44,000 – £54,000 dependent on capability.
