Job Description

We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our South West Water team based in Okehampton

Location: Okehampton, Devon

Contract: Permanent- full time

Salary: £37,000 - £46,500 per annum

What will you be responsible for?

As a Project Engineer, you'll be working within the South West Water MEICA team, supporting them in delivering multiple and concurrent projects within budget and timescales, whilst complying with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations. You will liaise and report into the Project Manager on medium sized planned works.

Your day to day will include:

  • Outline engineering from inception to completion of schemes utilising in-house functions and resources
  • Attend site meetings with the client, site visits to check on progress of works, travel between depots and sites within Devon & Cornwall
  • Completing estimates, quotations and contract documents, as well as procurement of plant materials and specialist subcontractors
  • Produce and maintain key process and project management documentation, such as CPPs, RAMs, Risk Registers, project reporting requirements etc
  • Financial management of tasks and work with the commercial team to produce cost reports and ensure efficient reporting & issuing of financial documents to the client

What are we looking for?

This role of Project Engineer is great for you if you hold:

  • Experience within the water and wastewater industry with engineering practical knowledge & project management would be beneficial
  • A full driving licence
  • SMSTS but training can be provided if not already obtained
