Job Title - Project Engineer

Salary - Circa £45,000 plus Bonus plus Car Allowance plus Veolia benefits *listed below

Location - James Road, Tyseley, Birmingham B11 2BA

Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 16:30pm

 At Veolia, the Project Engineer works alongside the Energy Recovery Facility operational team to ensure Plant Upgrade Works are delivered in a timely manner and within the budget, minimising the impact on the ERF operation. The Project Engineer ensures the effective and safe organisation of engineering processes, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

We’re looking for someone who has exceptional people skills with the ability to work in a team and project environment. If you are self motivated, enjoy working on projects, and have the ability to manage contractors and suppliers, we’d like to hear from you.

What you’ll do

Main duties will include

  • Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and plans with management.

  • Identify project phases and elements.

  • Determine project specifications by identifying product design, customer requirements and performance standards by completing technical studies and preparing cost estimates.

  • Design and conduct tests to confirm product performance.

  • Produce project plans.

  • Monitor project progress and resolve any issues that occur.

  • Recommend and implement any actions required to ensure a successful project.

  • Ensure the project is completed in line with the budget.

  • Collect and analyse project reports.

  • Work closely with the team to create a positive working environment.

 Qualifications

 The experience you will need

Essential:

  • Strong engineering experience.

  • Experience in delivering projects with tight timescales.

  • Project Management.

  • Technical understanding.

  • Design skills.

Desirable:

  • Power plant or continuous process plant experience.

  • Experience in a ERF or power industry.

  • Documentation skills.

  • Supervisory experience.

  • CAD, CAD/CAM Circuit Design.
