Job Purpose

You’ll provide focus and continuous improvements for Sludge to Energy assets and sub processes, sludge production, gas and fertiliser production and energy production.

Providing technical support to operational, regional and capital delivery teams, Implementing and driving Process safety/Digester safety improvements on site, working with both the local team and wider business to develop processes, procedures and guidance for the safe operation and maintenance of Bioresource assets.

You’ll also provide support/leadership during Digester Incident response when required.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Maximising the sludge to energy processes across a number of Wastewater Treatment Works, in line with KPI's to be delivered whilst ensuring compliance. Covering the ENP sub processes, gas and fertiliser production and energy production.
  • Safe planning and deployment of operating and maintenance tasks in conjunction with other business areas operating as authorised person as required and within budget
  • Maximising operational efficiency and gas production through the available sludge stock in line with the Sludge Production Plan, managing SLAs with regional service providers and 3rd party suppliers ensuring targets are met.
  • Integrating into a wider operational team, building and managing relationships across the business to influence and maximise energy from sludge across the area utilising effective stakeholder management
  • Providing support to site teams to develop emergency plans, DSC mentoring and Digester Incident response, supporting process safety developing and imbedding best practice across the Bioresource asset base
