We need a Production Designer ready to provide technical and commercial expertise from concept and design through to completion, managing and prioritising governance and a portfolio of requests for the Solutions Delivery team understanding of current issues and providing an option analysis.
You will be reviewing requests for scheme designs, supporting analysis with the Planned Works Engineer to understand the requirements, while logging and monitoring all scheme design requests and agreeing priorities & levels of service on an on-going basis with the Programme Controller and Planner Works Engineer to meet business needs.
Responsibilities will also include drafting impact plans required to support scheme design, facilitating communication with internal stakeholders on routine requests and actively promoting design best practise across the leakage capital programme.
Finally arranging for appropriate external customer communications relevant to the scheme under design ensuring that all impacted parties are consulted and that best practices are actively shared and the provision of information & technical support.

What does it take to be a Production Designer?
A Level (maths / engineering) and Graduate and/or BTEC Higher Technical qualification or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
Experience of working on water engineering or similar engineering design projects
Experience with water distribution systems/ hydraulics
Ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical staff
Excellent IT skills and AW software applications experience, particularly SAP
Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, CDM Regs, PoSWSH & NRSWA.
