Salary: £20,000 per annum (pro-rota based on duration)

Role Overview

In the Process department you will join our Engineering and Technology teams. You will have a part to play in ensuring operational efficiency of existing treatment solutions and shape the future of water and wastewater treatment.

You will have the opportunity to support the full life cycle of projects from conceptual solutions, through construction and commissioning to full scale operation. You will have the pleasure of solving many problems along the way.

Job accountabilities will include:

  • Supporting the price review team, helping to ensure that the future delivery plan meets the environmental strategy.
  • Supporting the capital delivery teams, helping to ensure that solutions meet the requirements.
  • Supporting the operational teams, helping to ensure that solutions run optimally and safely.


Don't worry, we won't throw you in at the deep end. You'll have mentors and managers with you as you progress through your placement and support you as you work towards your personal development goals.


What we are looking for

  • You will be aiming for a minimum of a 2:1 in a related degree such as Chemical Engineering and a student in your penultimate year at university.
  • You must be enthusiastic about protecting the environment.
  • You should possess excellent written and interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate to a wide audience, being able to creatively use a range of media and presentation skills for qualitative and quantitative information.
  • You must be motivated and enthusiastic, understand the importance of team work and possess ambition and drive to succeed and make the most out of you 10 week internship.
  • You should be able to be comfortable working flexibly across a range of tasks and activities to deadlines, be able to prioritise your time and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
