Job Description

Lead the governance that drives transformational change

As our PMO Manager in our Capital Delivery Team, you'll play a key role in how we deliver large-scale transformation across Cadent. This isn't just about reporting timelines or tracking progress - this is about creating the frameworks, processes and relationships that ensure our most complex programmes succeed.

Working across the whole network, you'll bring structure, insight and leadership to programmes that touch every part of the business - from operational changes to strategic priorities. You'll own and embed programme governance, ensure risk and benefit tracking is watertight, and coach teams in what good looks like. You'll also act as a delivery leader when required, directly managing projects and supporting senior stakeholders to bring change to life.

It's a fantastic opportunity to step into a visible and influential role, leading a small but capable team while partnering with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You'll be empowered to drive continuous improvement, shape change outcomes, and ensure our investment programmes are well-planned, well-governed and well-executed.

Why you'll love this role:

This is a high-impact role that offers stretch, variety and the chance to shape the future of how Cadent delivers transformation.

  • Strategic Visibility - Operate at the heart of large-scale change across our Capital Delivery portfolio.
  • End-to-End Ownership - Lead PMO activity across multiple programmes, from risk to reporting, governance to benefits realisation.
  • Leadership Influence - Work closely with senior stakeholders, shaping programme delivery and creating accountability at every level.
  • Agile Delivery - Flex between leading the PMO and stepping in to manage specific projects when needed.
  • Continuous Improvement - Embed best practice across the function and improve how we deliver, track and communicate change.

What you'll bring:

You're an experienced PMO or programme leader who's comfortable shaping governance, coaching delivery teams, and influencing at senior levels.

  • Strong PMO Background - Experience managing complex change programmes with proven expertise in governance, risk, assurance and reporting.
  • Technical Credentials - Qualifications such as MSP, PRINCE2, APM or P3O, and a solid grasp of change and programme management frameworks.
  • Delivery Versatility - Ability to step into project management roles and flex to meet delivery needs as required.
  • Stakeholder Confidence - Skilled in building trust and influencing stakeholders at all levels, from field operatives to executive leaders.

Please note that this position will close on Sunday 20th April, with interviews scheduled shortly after.

Disclaimer: While the closing date is set as mentioned, we reserve the right to close the application process earlier if necessary, depending on the unique circumstances of each role.
