Salary: £27.3k - £31k per annum (Dependent on skills & qualifications)

We currently have a Plant Operative vacancy available within our Plant Maintenance department based in Glasgow.
What will you be doing day to day?
You will work with a team of plant fitters, either as an individual or as a small team, undertaking routine and non routine work on all plant and equipment items, including instrumentation, providing support to the various business units across Scotland.
What you’ll need
- Ideally you will have experience of mechanical maintenance and will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent although training will be provided where necessary.
- You will be able to demonstrate competence in the use of workshop equipment; ability to work within SGN safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HS&E and Company legislation.You will also have a working knowledge of regulations associated with the disposal of waste.
- You will have the ability to understand and work to instruction and be able to plan and organise resources in order to ensure that work is carried out efficiently.
- Experience of working in a team environment would be beneficial
- You will have good leadership qualities together with excellent inter-personal skills
- A full driving licence is required
