Anglian Water's Major Infrastructure Team helps to meet tomorrow's challenges today, by planning and delivering high-quality major infrastructure for the East of England that will help address major future challenges such as securing water supply for future generations, reaching net zero, adapting to climate change and restoring the environment. Delivering new jobs, improved opportunities for people in communities across the region and boosting local economies.
We lead the planning for what are regarded as major infrastructure projects, more widely known as Nationally Significant Infrastructure projects, or NSIPs and other accelerated infrastructure schemes. They are transformational projects that, if delivered, could contribute greatly to Anglian Water's purpose (to bring environmental and social prosperity to the region we serve through our commitment to love every drop) and meeting our strategic direction objectives. The ones you may already be familiar with are: Cambridge Waste Water Treatment Plant Relocation project and our two new proposed reservoirs in Lincolnshire and the Fens. We are also in the early stages of planning for some accelerated projects from our Business Plan 2025-2030 which include new pipelines and water reuse schemes.
What you'll be doing:
As Planning and Stakeholder Programme Co-ordinator this role will support the Head of Planning and Stakeholder Engagement and Stakeholder Leads in building positive relationships and advocacy of the projects with key stakeholder groups including; statutory and non-statutory organisations, local & central government, MP's, environmental bodies, industry & community groups, businesses and other affected parties. The role holder will support the development and successful implementation of communications and stakeholder engagement plans, critically ensuring evidence of engagement is accurately recorded and actions and issues are proactively followed-up.
A proactive and confident individual responsible for supporting the Stakeholder Leads in the management of the programme of stakeholder engagement activity across the portfolio of projects, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will be committed to ensuring that all actions or commitments are followed up in a timely manner, records of meetings are accurately recorded, shared and stored and meetings are proactively planned ahead for future engagement. A self-starter confident in dealing with stakeholders both internally and externally and working in a complex and fast paced environment with limited supervision, ideally with experience of engagement on Nationally Significant Infrastructure and Town and Country planning projects.
Key Accountabilities:
To support the Stakeholder Leads to develop a centralised programme of stakeholder engagement activities across Major Infrastructure projects.
To ensure all planning and stakeholder actions and follow-up issues are captured taking an active role in driving closure and resolution.
To support with the co-ordinating of the sequence of engagement in the run-up to critical project milestones and phases of consultation.
To ensure meetings are arranged and align to programme need.

What does it take to be successful?
Experience in a stakeholder engagement project coordination role within complex/ major projects environment
Experience of coordinating stakeholder engagement activities across Major Infrastructure (NSIP) projects
A working knowledge of managing CRMs in delivery of stakeholder engagement plans and activity
Extensive record keeping and document management experience
Working knowledge of GDPR regulations
Confident in accurately recording meetings and actions
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including; Word and PowerPoint with advanced Excel skills
