Job Purpose

 

 

To create, produce and deliver key multi-level performance information, scorecards, dashboards and reports for the business in a timely manner to an exacting standard of quality and accuracy.

 

Analysis of data to provide informed business intelligence to the target audience.

 

Job Accountabilities

 
  • Produce detailed reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  •            
  • Produce accurate and reliable reports to tight deadlines.
  •            
  • Build and maintain scorecards.
  •            
  • Liaise with managers and senior leaders to develop new reports.
  •            
  • Present information at all levels for example at monthly performance review meetings etc.
  •            
  • Obtain data from other teams to feed into management information reporting.
  •            
  • Keep accurately documented processes for all reports.
  •            
  • Ensure data accuracy across a number of business systems.
  •            
  • Analyse reports to identify trends and provide recommendations for performance improvement, to help deliver service improvements and efficiencies into the business.
  •            
  • Proactively seek new ways of working and challenging current practices.
  •            
  • To create ad-hoc reports which may become a regular monthly/weekly/quarterly report.
  •            
  • Establish and maintain relationships with core teams within the business including field managers.
 

 

Knowledge and Skills

 
  • Good understanding of the United Utilities business and its key procedures and performance metrics.
  •            
  • Advanced reporting skills e.g. Tableau (preferred) and strong skills in Microsoft Office e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  •            
  • Personally organised with a structured and logical approach as well as a strong team worker who proactively shares workloads.
  •            
  • Analytical skills – Ability to process large volumes of data.
  •            
  • Flexibility to switch task and multitask at short notice.
  •            
  • A methodical “completer/finisher” approach to administration and documentation.
  •            
  • Customer focussed.
  •            
  • Experience of using/extracting data from operational systems, e.g. Dynamics/ECC/SAP/BI
  •            
  • Good oral and written communication skill and the confidence to participate in meetings/workshops with leaders from across the business.
