Job Description

Operative / Barrier Person
Location: Aldershot, GU11 3QR

The Role:

Clancy are recruiting for a Barrier Person / Operative to join our busy Southeast Water team based out of our Aldershot depot.

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of maintenance activities supporting our operational repair & maintenance crews carrying out work for Southeast Water.

Some of the activities you’ll get involved in are:

  • Ensure the safe operation of vehicle & plant machinery
  • Assist teams carrying out works in the highway and on private property and premises across the Kent area, helping to set up site and close, delivering signs & barriers, running out fittings to the team and letter drops
  • Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring sites are safe prior to start and following completion of work
  • Minimise disruption to local residents

What do you need?

The role requires an extensive amount of physical activity so demonstrable ability to perform in this aspect is essential. You will also need to be based within a reasonable commute of the area due to our stand-by agreement, whereby a team need to be on-site within two hours of call out at any given time.

If you have a full driving license, NRSWA qualifications units 1 and 2 (SLG), abrasive wheels, good organisational skills and enjoy working in physically challenging environment, we would love to hear from you.
