Network Maintenance Craftsperson – Instrumentation
Starting salary from £42,354 rising to £49,776 once fully competent 
Incentive scheme, overtime, standby and van
Permanent role
Located across our network across Yorkshire

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us in our Network Maintenance team. The department has recently merged with our Capital Projects team, opening the path to lots of opportunity to develop further skills and work cross-functionally.

As our new Network Maintenance Craftsperson, you will be focusing on maintaining and calibrating instrument systems on a variety of gas sites owned and operated by NGN. The systems range from simple transmitter loops to fiscal metering systems.

This will be a mobile role and is located across our Network inYorkshire.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include but not limited to
•    Standby 365 days a year on a rota basis ideally 1 in 4
•    Variable work patterns (when required) and lone working out of hours
•    You will maintain and calibrate instrumentation systems as well as fault finding 
•    There will be the repair and replacement of components, fittings, and fixtures
•    You will be expected to complete paperwork and update systems for results and readings
•    Commissioning of equipment
•    Using IT in the field for work reporting
•    Gas Quality work (development required for all)

What we are looking for in our Network Maintenance Craftsperson
•    Instrumentation Apprenticeship (City & Guilds) & NVQ
•    You must be a logical thinker, with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•    You will have a proactive attitude and be a strong team player whilst also having the ability to work on their own initiative
•    You will possess knowledge of codes of practice, engineering instructions and safety requirements
•    Full UK driving licence

Desirable
•    EUSR Gas passport
•    COMPEX EX 01,02,03,04
•    SCO 1, 2 and 4
•    Experience on gas distribution systems
•    EL6 sign off (Restricted Authorised Person)
•    TIM 2,3,4
•    HNC Level (Instrumentation)

•    Starting salary from £42,354 rising to £49,776 once fully competent plus incentive scheme, overtime and van
•    41.25 hours per week over a 7-day variable work pattern, including standby - rotas are given in advance and will include some night shifts although this would not be expected on a weekly basis
