Job Title - Mechanical Engineer Apprentice

Location - Veolia, Stubbers Green Road, Aldridge, WS9 8BL.

Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Closing Date - Sunday 28th February 2021.

 Apprenticeship programme

 During this 3 -year programme, we will help you to develop your practical skills and knowledge required for you to succeed in this role as well as your future career. Throughout this programme, you will continue to develop your behaviours such as team working, problem-solving and customer focus. Veolia as a business is not only interested in what you accomplish, but the manner you do it in. 

 As well as gaining a broad range of technical and professional experience, you’ll also gain academic and vocational qualifications such as Level 3 BTEC, Level 3 NVQ & IOSH awareness

Key Responsibilities 

  • General maintenance and repair of pumps, mixers, valve and other equipment 

  • Installation of plastic (PVC, PP) pipework 

  • Installation of small steel pipework 

  • Oxy/acetylene cutting and burning 

  • Airline and pneumatic equipment maintenance 

  • Involved in the implementation of plant modification and minor projects
