Salary from £54,800 with 15% Annual Bonus and Single Person Healthcare

We are looking for an individual with the capability to become an expert in asset management, prompt trading and contract negotiation.  You will manage the short-term route to market of ScottishPower Renewables assets and Customer Business demand, developing new business opportunities for flexible generation and wind assets across short term wholesale and balancing services markets.


You will identify new revenue streams within balancing and ancillary service markets in order to support the business cases for building of new flexibility and wind assets.  You will be required to deliver budget targets, and develop competitor activity reports for these assets.

In this role, you will manage the interface with National Grid and Distribution Network Operators for these assets.  You will lead engagement and relationships with key external stakeholders such as National Grid, ensuring that ScottishPower's capabilities part a play in the transition to a flexible low carbon energy system.

What you'll bring

Educated to degree level in a numerate or legal field of study you will possess excellent analytical, quantitative and communication skills.

With proven and effective people management skills, you will be a well-organised self-starter with excellent time management discipline, able to communicate complex concepts at senior management level, both internally and to key external stakeholders.

You will build relationships and influence outcomes of discussions within the Iberdrola group and externally with stakeholder organisations which may include National Grid, OFGEM and competitors, You will have the ability to develop an understanding of UK power and gas markets, balancing markets and all ancillary service markets.
