Lead Analyst, Customer Strategy, Birmingham

National Grid are building a new team, ngDigital, to provide best-in-class digital delivery.  The Digital team will comprise of two hubs, one in the US (Boston) and one in the UK (Birmingham) and will build digital products that create strategic value in a fast and agile manner. In addition to creating digital products, the ngDigital hubs are talent incubators that will disseminate digital capabilities and culture within National Grid.

 

The Lead Analyst, Customer Strategy role will require an excellent analytical mind with the ability to challenge the status quo, rethink current ways of working to create new value and communicate and influence at all levels.

 

The role creates and manages the product's business case, drives value creation and influences the prioritization of product features based on business value, and will also lead the change management activities required for product adoption.

 

About you

 

You will be working with the business units to create and refresh digital roadmaps, including the end-to-end review of business processes, including process “tear downs”, understanding current frictions and proposing solutions with high-level value benefits, and sequencing and prioritizing digital projects and defining funding requirements for each business unit.

 

You’ll be running business ideation (Hack-a-Future) sessions, whilst building the detailed business case for each digital concept, by understanding the value levers and product cost and building out the holistic end-to-end business case

 

You will be communicating with product teams and sprint teams on the biggest value creation levers for the product, ensuring the product continues to create value as it develops, whilst maintaining the business case based on feedback from customers, engineers and other stakeholders

 

Also key is working with Strategic Designers, to understand feedback from customers/users and quantifying the impact on the business case, whilst influencing the design of the product so it remains focused on the value creating levers.

What you'll get

 

A salary of £59,000 per annum.

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
