At National Grid , we keep people connected and society moving. We own and maintain the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. Every time a phone is plugged in, or a switch is turned on, we've played a part, connecting you to the electricity you need.
We also take green energy seriously. We're investing over £30bn between 2025 and 2029 in projects that support the UK's net zero and power decarbonisation targets.
As a Land Manager, you'll lead a team of Land Officers and Suppliers to deliver access to facilitate a wide range of maintenance and capital works on existing National Grid assets, both overhead and underground, and provide expert advice and support to Asset Operations (AO) teams. Our electricity assets include overhead lines, pylons, underground cables, and transmission substations, with innovation and technology enabling us to operate more efficiently, reliably, and safely every day.
Our Access to Land team play a pivotal role in delivering The Great Grid Upgrade . Our teams are dedicated to securing land access rights, negotiating with landowners, and navigating complex compensation settlements, without which it wouldn't be possible to build and maintain our future Grid. It's no small feat - and we need the best to join us in our mission.
This role welcomes applicants UK wide, and we offer hybrid working from office and home. You'll be flexible to weekly travel throughout England and Wales as required. You'll also have a driving licence that permits you to drive in the UK.
