About the role
We’ve a great opportunity to join our IS team as a Workspace Technical Specialist who will work as part of the User Experience function, to provide our colleagues with the ability to work anywhere at any time, ensuring an intuitive and consistent end-user experience across all corporate devices.
You’ll be our subject matter expert in operating systems and productivity suite software, defining policies and developing services across the User Experience function including End User Devices, Windows-As-A-Service, Exchange and Mailbox Management, Printing Services, Single Sign-on, Directory Services and Mobile Device Management.
We’re looking for you to increase standardisation of core processes and automate these processes wherever possible. You’ll setup and administer the OMS environment and associated SCCM Management policies, along with the design, develop, govern and administer key technology components.
You’ll be leading on technical Design Authorities to ensure appropriate technical governance is followed and will have hands on involvement in process and quality improvement, product improvement and technology innovation.
We’re looking for you to be supporting the Service Manager to define and plan product roadmaps within the User Experience Function, along with owning risk, issue monitoring and escalation within their area. There’s also the managing Stakeholder, Partner and Vendor relationships, managing and communicating stakeholder expectations to do too.
We’re looking for you to have proven experience in supporting business critical IT products to time, cost and quality within both traditional and agile ways of working at scale and complexity. You’ll also have a sound knowledge of all aspects of the business and the environment it operates in (regulatory, political, local etc).
We’re looking for you to have a proven track record of providing exemplary customer service, including creating and maintaining customer relationships and taking care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally.
You’ll need to have proven experience of managing external suppliers, contract management and procurement of services and risk management at the appropriate level. You’ll have the proven ability to build and cultivate strong and long lasting relationships with key stakeholders and actively manage customer expectations.
We’re looking for you to have a proven understanding of product roadmaps and how they can benefit the business, along with communication skills, able to modify approach across a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
