About the role
We’ve a great opportunity to be an IS Network Engineer to be working as part of the Networks and Connectivity Team to ensure the effective day-to-day operation of the NWG network infrastructure and services.
You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing network services across our data, voice and security platforms, along with the monitoring and maintaining of our network, to ensuring the delivery of a reliable, secure and efficient network. In the event of incidents, you’ll respond and manage these to resolution whilst demonstrating a strong customer focus and excellent inter-personal skills.
We’re looking for you to provide effective prioritisation and scheduling of new requirements, provide documentation on solutions and implementations and to monitor the Network, along with being proactive in identifying solutions and liaising and negotiating with Service providers.
We’re looking for the successful candidate to have proven experience in managing data, security and voice network products and services, along with proven experience of working with critical network infrastructure within enterprise scale datacentres.
You’ll have be CCNP/CCNA (Routing & Switching and/or Data Centre) ceRtified and have proven experience in designing and implementing WAN architectures, along with proven understanding of routing protocols and working with LAN/WAN enterprise monitoring solutions.
We’re looking for you to have experience of Citrix NetScaler load balancing, administration of firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco) and an awareness of SIP trunking and IP telephony platforms, along with proven knowledge of ITIL best practice.
You’ll have experience in the maintenance, configuration and fault-finding on data networking and network security equipment within the corporate communications system infrastructure (hardware and software). We’re also looking for you to have experience in the maintenance, configuration and fault-finding on telecommunications equipment within the corporate communications system infrastructure (hardware and software).
