Job Description

Main Purpose and Scope of Job
To support the Head of Insurance with day to day administration work.

Duties and Key Responsibilities
• Manage incoming workflow (usually via e mail) by attaching to the correct record.
• Managing a diverse portfolio of liability, property, and motor claims with the opportunity to develop in other lines of business (desirable)
• Dealing with cases in line with pre-action protocols and managing cases within Claims Portal
• Providing advice to sites, to facilitate the settlement of claims
• Establishing and maintaining electronic claim files; process claims information and co- ordinate internal claims-related activities
• Scanning of post to relevant files.
• Distribution/ Register of claims.
• Regularly access the status of claims with Insurers and claimants.
• Process any payment requests.
• Insurer and MI bordereaux checking.
• Liaise with suppliers ensure that activities are chased and reduce duration if required.


Experience
• Previous experience in handling claims across multiple business lines
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a demanding environment, displaying flexibility and adaptability yet able to work in a structured manner
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Relevant technical insurance knowledge
• Experience with Microsoft Excel


Essential Knowledge
• Completion of all other training as defined within the Training Matrix.
• Ability to handle claims for Motor, EL, PL from cradle to grave. (desirable)
• Negotiation abilities.
• Relevant technical insurance knowledge
• Knowledge of Office, Word & Excel
• Technical knowledge of personal Injury handling (desired)
