Description

Are you passionate about hands-on tasks, resolving challenges, and supporting customers to fully benefit from their technology? Become a Home Technology & Appliance Installer at Jersey Electricity. You will help deliver and install Powerhouse products safely and professionally in customers' homes. 
 
Your role involves delivering and professionally installing appliances, IT, AV, and other Powerhouse products in customers' homes. All work must be performed safely and follow compliance standards. You will also provide basic setup and offer mentorship so customers can get started easily. 
 
This role combines technical expertise with customer interaction. It gives you the opportunity to ensure every installation meets high standards. You will also help customers feel confident using their new products. 


Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Installation 
  • Deliver and set up appliances, IT products, TV/AV, and other Powerhouse products according to company guidelines 
  • Ensure safe, compliant installations in customer homes, including plumbing and electrical connections where required 
  • Install electrical cookers securely and according to current regulations 
  • Configure basic settings such as Wi-Fi, AV systems, and appliance programmes 
Customer Mentorship 
  • Demonstrate key product features and answer customer questions clearly and confidently 
  • Offer effective advice on products and services where appropriate 
Quality & Compliance 
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines 
  • Complete installation checklists and report any issues promptly 
Coordination 
  • Work closely with the Service and Admin teams to ensure smooth scheduling and accurate documentation 
  • Advance technical issues to the Service Technician team when needed

  • Safe manual handling and lifting practices 
Technical Expertise 
You don't need to tick every box, but experience in several of the following areas would be beneficial: 
  • Setting up appliances such as washing machines, ovens, refrigerators, and dishwashers 
  • Electrical cooker installation, including safe connection and compliance 
  • Plumbing connections for appliances 
  • AV and IT product installation and setup 
  • Basic Wi-Fi networking and associated equipment 
  • Understanding of manufacturer guidelines for appliances and electronics 
Experience Level 
  • Previous experience in appliance, AV, or similar installations (essential) 
  • Hands-on experience with IT and AV setup (desirable) 
Qualifications 
  • Full UK/Jersey driving licence (essential) 
  • Medium Goods Vehicle License (essential)
  • Electrical safety certification or relevant qualification for cooker installation (essential) 
  • Manual handling training 
  • First Aid at Work certification (desirable)
