Clean Water Repair and Maintenance Team Leader

Locations: Bodmin, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Exeter, Barnstable, Redruth, Torquay and surroundings areas

Business Area: Kier Utilities- South West Water

Salary: Hourly paid with potential for base up to £14.49/hr

Permanent- Full Time- 45 hours week.

You will be required to work a 5-day shift pattern, this will include weekends.
Enhanced pay rates for hours worked on shift between 06:30 and 20:30.
Standby will be required as part of the role. Additional standby and callout payments are made. All standby hours are paid at an enhanced rate.

We have opportunities for Gangers and Lead Water Technicians in all areas to lead a team, working as part of the Reactive or Planned Work Delivery Teams within the Network Service Alliance, specifically on clean water related projects. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to technical and customer specification with a strong emphasis on meeting Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards and regulations.

This role will require you to work as part of a 5-day shift pattern (including a Saturday or Sunday rota-basis) as well as the need to undertake standby duties. Weekend working as part of the shift is compensated with a week day off, providing flexibility and opportunity for improved work life balance.

What do we need from you?

We're looking for enthusiastic Gangers who have a Full UK Driving Licence, who hold Streetworks Operative Units 001-006, Excavator 360 below and B&E Trailer Towing. An NVQ-NCO in Service Laying (water), EUSR Utility SHEA (water), EUSR National Water Hygiene and 260 Excavator above 10t are highly desirable. It would also be beneficial for you to hold a First Aid at work qualification, have experience of excavation and Safe Trench Support and also have Water Network experience.
