Job Description

We’re looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to join our Field Debt team. You’ll be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a suite of web applications to provide customer data and record customer outcomes/employee activity. You’ll also support the expansion into new markets and emerging workstreams by ensuring our employees have all the information they require, and the data our clients require is captured.Within this role, you will be Responsible for maintaining and enhancing a website used by our Field Agents (accessed by a mobile browser) to obtain new work requests, view customer information and capture customer outcomes using multiple technologies. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensure that the site is maintained and fixed if any potential software bugs arise, you’ll play the focal point in upgrading systems to allow for either more users or new solutions.

  • Responsible for maintaining and enhancing a website used by our Field Agents (accessed by a mobile browser) to obtain new work requests, view customer information and capture customer outcomes using multiple technologies
    Responsible for maintaining, enhancing and improving performance of a calendar system to record employee availability
    Deliver solutions to business requirements by deciphering and designing technical solutions to develop new/existing capability which supports additional workstreams
    Prioritise work effectively using a DevOps platform and making recommendations for reprioritisation to your line manager
    Create and review technical documentation to allow efficient improvement/bug fixing by your peers
    Ensures all new/changes to existing solutions are version controlled using Git, changes are thoroughly tested and pull requests are authorised by an independent peer before being released into production
    Work with peers to collaborate where multiple technologies/skills are required to deliver a solution


Essential:

 

  • An understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Nodejs and SQL programming
  • Creative problem solver who can see a task through to resolution or delivery
  • Proactively engages and communicates with key stakeholders regardless of level
  • Able to manage a critical incident effectively to limit system down time
  • Ability to proactively think about the end user and the impact/benefit of any design decision they make
  • An aptitude for working in pressurised situations with changing and conflicting priorities
  • A demonstrable need for accuracy and thoroughness
  • A team player, able to interact with peers to ensure delivery where multiple technologies/skills are required
  • Ability to learn new languages/skills quickly (as and when required)

 

 Desirable:

 

  • Knowledge of Credit Management processes 
  • Familiar with the licence conditions and legal requirements relating to the fair treatment of customers in debt
