Finance Manager

We're currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks team. This role will consist of leading the accounting team to manage all balance sheets, overheads, controls and technical matters across the division. The role will also include managing and supervising a team of four individuals.

Location: Flexible across either Rushden, Northamptonshire or Wymondham, Norfolk with hybrid working available

Contract: Permanent and full-time


As a Finance Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supporting the day-to-day provision of general accounting services to meet business needs.
  • Month and Year-End accounting across the division, ensuring all group charges are allocated correctly to contracts and on a timely basis.
  • Audit Liaison including liaising with Group Finance, Group Tax and our Internal Audit.
  • Overhead control and analysis, in addition to Balance Sheet reviews and controls ensuring all reconciliations are completed and any reconciling items are investigated and closed out on a timely basis.
  • Developing and implementing consistent financial controls and processes across the division as well as playing a key role in standardising processes.
  • Business partnering for all overhead functions and supporting the wider business facing finance team with provision of timely accurate information by eliminating errors and investigating differences.

What are we looking for?

This role of Finance Manager is great for you if you have:

  • A Finance accreditation or actively working towards an ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience within a similar level role involving coaching and managing a team.
  • An ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders and able to build positive, long-lasting relationships.
  • Proven experience and management of audits, overheads and balance sheets reconciliations.
