Field Supervisor  

Lynemouth Windfarm, Morpeth, Northumberland (Must be based within 1 hour of this location) 

Salary From £41,157 with 10% bonus and single person healthcare

Working as part of a dynamic team to ensure safe, efficient and compliant day-to-day operational management of ScottishPower Renewables (SPR) wind farm portfolio, you will be allocated a number of sites to pro-actively manage, co-ordinate and close-out local issues directly and via sub-contractors where present. 

 

What you'll be doing 

 

Responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient operation of allocated wind farm sites, ensuring all activities are delivered in line with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements. You will carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments, proactively identifying issues and coordinating corrective actions to maintain high operational standards. 

Working closely with contractors and stakeholders, you will provide active site supervision to ensure maintenance and operational activities are planned, scheduled and completed safely, efficiently and to the required technical standards. You will also support wind turbine inspections, local fault response, limited HV operations and contribute to site performance monitoring and key operational targets. 

As a key member of the operations team, you will support budget planning, resource management and the development of site procedures and policies. You will liaise with landowners, emergency services and other stakeholders, provide emergency call-out support when required, and work collaboratively to ensure consistent operational performance across the portfolio. 

 

What you'll bring 

 

Sound knowledge of electro-mechanical generating plant and apparatus 

Educated to HNC, or appropriate City & Guilds level (or equivalent in either an electrical or mechanical discipline) or equivalent transferable practical experience 

Sound knowledge and practical experience of working under the Company Safety Rules or equivalent rule based systems 

Good organisational and interpersonal skills 

Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing working environment and demonstrate a positive approach to change 

High degree of self motivation with a flexible approach to work 

Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision 

 Previous Windfarm technician/supervision experience desirable 

Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications as a minimum, as well as familiarity with SCADA systems
