Job Purpose

As Field Services Technical Lead you will be responsible for the line management and technical support of the Customer Account Officers providing excellent leadership and technical understanding for meter reading, simple meter exchanges and water efficiency related activities. To act as the champion for all technical related queries for the meter reading field operation.

You will also create a highly motivated team, who take pride in delivering excellent customer service and to ensure all job requirements are met.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the leadership and management of a team of Customer Account Officers
  • To develop strong technical capability for meter reading, simple meter exchanges and water efficiency related activities
  • To be responsible for all technical aspects of Meter Reading, Water Efficiency and Meter Maintenance (limited to external screw out / screw in' exchanges & simple internal replacements
  • To be proactively involved with the planning, practical technical input, training and supervision of the Customer Account Officers
  • To be responsible for analysing and interpreting operational performance information and proactively identifying and implementing corrective actions within Health and Safety requirements and escalating performance risks to the Field Operations Manager
  • Responsible for development of required training documentation
  • Assist in escalated customer complaints that require a field face to face visit
