Environmental Manager

We're looking for a Environmental Manager to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks division based at Hinkley Point C.

Location: Somerset, Bridgwater

Contract: Full time, Permanent - flexible start/end hour times available if desired, just let us know

What will you be responsible for?

As an Environmental Manager you'll be working within the Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks division, assisting the team in the delivery of the Fish Return System.

Your day to day will include:

  • Act as the first point of contact for project and design teams concerning environmental management compliance and sustainability.
  • Lead the development of the projects/ contract Environmental Management System
  • Identify and support the project team to obtain and comply with regulatory and client requirements
  • Conduct environmental audits and site inspections and support third-party audits
  • Attend client meetings and industry forums as required

What are we looking for?

This role would be great for you if:

  • Demonstrable experience in environmental management on construction projects
  • Demonstrable experience in assessing environmental aspects and impacts, developing mitigation proposals and implementing environmental management procedures to avoid or reduce environmental effects.
  • Good knowledge and practical experience of developing, implementing and improving EMS's certified to BS EN ISO 14001;
  • Clean, current UK driving licence.
