About the role

As Electrician, you will be working in a multi-disciplinary team alongside a range of operational teams such as Mechanical Fitters and ICA technicians. You will be responsible for installing electrical & mechanical plant equipment to relevant standards, as well as diagnosing and repairing faults on systems and plants. Proactively identifying and reporting follow on work or areas for enhancement, improvements to assets and systems will be key and you will be required to carry electrical maintenance and installation on a variety of waste assets including planned and reactive tasks.

This role is vital for investigating plant failures and the implementation of subsequent repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to avoid interruptions to the water treatment process. Additionally, you will be conducting point of work risk assessments so work can be carried out safely. You will also be required to participate in the standby rota following the relevant training.

What do we need from you?

We are looking for someone who holds a good, practical understanding of operational plant and control systems, knowledge and experience working on water treatment plants, as well as previous work on motors, pumps, level controls installation of SWA cabling, tray and control panels. It would also be beneficial to be qualified at City and Guilds BS 7671:2018, 18th Edition or NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification (Installation) & AM2.

Due to the nature of the role, a Full UK Driving Licence is also required.
