We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Solutions Technical Analyst to join our Digital Technology & Change team. For this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development, optimisation, administration, and support of cutting-edge digital solutions, software, and applications. The role involves requirements management, technical proficiency, collaboration and communication, developer support, Business Developed Applications (BDA) management, and Application Management Support (AMS). This role is based in Solihull, with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct high level requirements gathering for application change requests to ensure a comprehensive understanding of project needs.
  • Create and manage consistent documentation for all technical processes and solutions.
  • Analyse incidents and replicate issues for effective troubleshooting.
  • Be the primary point of contact for application issues and incidents for the business, providing stakeholders with regular updates on resolutions.
  • Contribute to and help steer the teams project planning.
  • Support developers with application unit testing.
  • Support business areas with coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Co-ordinate the warranty periods of applications from a stakeholder management perspective, ensuring defect resolution is swift.
  • Support with the management of existing applications, administration and AMS.
What we need from you
  • Proven and demonstrable experience in technical analysis, administration and support roles.
  • Experience in working with C# applications.
  • Familiarity with application development and troubleshooting.
  • The ability to review existing specifications and comprehend implemented functionality.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.

It would be great if you had

  • Proficiency in web applications using ASP.NET MVC, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, Bootstrap and jQuery.
  • Demonstrable experience with .NET development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access, knowledge in VBA to support with Business Developed Applications (BDA).
  • Experience within the UK Energy Industry.
