Digital Communications Specialist

This Digital Communications Specialist will report to the Digital Communications Manager and will work within Human Resources directorate based in our London office. You will be a permanent employee.

You will attract a salary of circa £40,000.00 and a bonus of 7.5%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote

Job Purpose:

You will support the Digital Communications team on the delivery and evaluation of the UK Power Networks external website, digital journeys, and social media channels.

You will develop digital tools to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will build digital skills to help us maintain a 'best in class' website while also leading on data driven enhancements and social media content and reach.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with teams across UK Power Networks to understand their requirements for website and social, working with the Digital Communications Manager to incorporate this into an overall plan.
  • Co-ordinate with approved external suppliers to deliver creative website improvements.
  • Review and curate contentto meet partner requirements, to developforward-thinking communicationacross a variety of platforms including website, social media and email communication campaigns.
  • Be the champion of our brand identity, upholding high standards on all online communications and ensure they comply with UK Power Networks corporate identity guidelines and tone of voice.
  • Engage with and manage important partners, including senior management teams, to develop new web pages, customer communications and digital tools such as web forms and portals.
  • Develop data streams to facilitate insight driven enhancements and embed digital products that contribute to overall success of business and customer experience.
  • Work in collaboration with product leads to integrate new products and business processes through User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) support.
  • Be able to commit to a storm role of coordinating digital communications during storms, and major incidents ensuring effective response on web and social media.

Qualifications:

  • Apply UI/UX experience to improve customer journeys
  • Experience of operating, maintaining and overseeing website and social media Content Management Systems
  • Copywriting and content creation capabilities that align with the strategic goals and plans of the business
  • You will lead the Digital enhancements and improvements through data insights
  • An involving style and the willingness to challenge current working practices to achieve ongoing continuous improvement for our customers
  • Previous experience working with website content management systems or in marketing / communications teams
  • Experience creating social media content across several channels
  • Able to prioritise tasks based on the urgency
  • Excellent IT/ computer skills using Internet, email, word, PowerPoint with the enthusiasm and drive to learn how to use new tools such as Umbraco, Google Analytics and Penta (with full training).
  • Knowledge of our vision, values and strategic direction (or the ability to absorb this information quickly) so that actions are judged for their impact
