Scottish Power is embarking on a Cyber Security Transformation Programme. We're looking for Cyber Assurance and Compliance Lead to help define, implement, and manage the Cyber Security Assurance Model and to track the Regulatory Compliance posture across ScottishPower (including the NIS Regulation).

The role leads the definition and implementation of Cyber Assurance Reviews, Programmes, and Initiatives as well as the Cyber Assurance and Compliance objectives, contributing to ScottishPower's Cyber Security Strategy.

What you'll be doing

This role sits within the 2nd Line of defence, leading and supporting the Business in risk and compliance, by performing assurance, and providing Senior Leaders with independent assurance of their cyber risk and regulatory compliance posture.

You'll collaborate with 1st Line Cyber Teams, ensuring Business Assurance plans are known, and understood, considering any Regulatory commitment, and delivering the needed assurance.

Playing a critical part in helping to define the Cyber Security Strategy, you'll establish an Enterprise Cyber Assurance Plan, ensuring the defined Assurance Model is supported by Senior Leaders across the Business.

The role will be responsible for supporting and monitoring adherence to the 3rd Party Risk Management Methodology. The execution of 3rd Party Security Assessments will be required.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to build and maintain strong relationships with both local and global colleagues. Proficiency in establishing and maintaining strong communication mechanisms, such as regular updates, collaborative tools, and feedback systems, essential to the alignment with organisational goals.

What you'll bring

  • Knowledge and experience of Cyber Security (e.g. GICSP, CISSP, CISM)

  • Significant experience developing and leading Cyber Security Assurance Programs in an organisation of similar scope and scale to ScottishPower, with previous Security Management experience in a global organisation preferred.

  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards

  • Experience defining and delivering cyber security risk strategies.

  • Experienced in developing and communicating Cyber Security Risk Strategies. Awareness of key legislation and regulation impacting the delivery of IT and OT Cyber Security in an energy utility (nice to have)
