As a SHES Advisor you'll provide Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainability (SHES) support to Strategic Infrastructure projects. You'll coach, advise, train, motivate, inspire and encourage managers, staff and contractors to deliver legislative compliance and promote continuous improvement. Helping to create, achieve and sustain world class Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performance, you'll also support the effective implementation, coordination, execution and monitoring of all aspects of Quality Assurance, ensuring compliance with all relevant ISO standards, NG policies, procedures, specifications, and wider National Grid management systems.
As a source of expertise on HSE you'll provide specialist advice on CDM, Environmental Management, legislation and industry standards. Driving the implementation of the company strategy to enable responsibility and accountability to reside with line managers and staff, with emphasis on behavioural safety.
Supporting Strategic Infrastructure, you'll develop and implement sustainable working solutions, with an aim to reduce the carbon footprint of the business and projects, supporting the energy transition and corporate plans towards net zero.
This role will predominantly be based between our 2 SeaLink sites with supplier and home working as decided too.
