If so then we have an exciting and rewarding role for you! We are looking for an ambitious, driven and talented individual to join the Alpheus team as our Construction Project Manager, to take full control delivering major water engineering construction projects.

Alpheus (the commercial arm of Anglian Water Group) are a successful designer, builder and operator of water and wastewater assets, delivering compliant, cost effective, and reliable water and wastewater solutions for almost thirty years. We are continuing to grow our high-performance organisation both centrally in Huntingdon and across major sites in the UK.

What will you be doing?

Alpheus offer industrial and commercial customers a comprehensive range of independent specialist water & wastewater process solutions and asset management services, tailored to meet their needs.

Alpheus is in the process of a growth plan securing major design and build contracts, as well as operation and maintenance contracts, with a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities both short and long term.

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to develop, plan and deliver these major capital projects safely, to budget, on time and to the required specification.

What do you need?

  • Demonstrable experience managing the delivery of large and medium design & build engineering projects (£1M+).

  • Proven track record for delivering major on-the-ground projects, at complex customer sites, under complex / pressurised customer situations.

  • Educated to degree level plus project management qualifications with engineering background (preferably mechanical), ideally with water and wastewater experience.

  • Experience and skills in the management of CDM, contractors and on-site construction teams

  • Familiar with the management and understanding of contracts, sub-contracts, process guarantees, liabilities, etc.

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.

  • Proactive, flexible and hands-on in your approach, prepared to work to tight deadlines with fluctuating workloads.

  • Demonstrating clear ownership of projects, highly dedicated, motivated, and dynamic agile thinking.

  • Skilled in office IT packages (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project etc).Ability and flexibility to travel, potentially across the UK, but with a focus within the greater Anglian region.
