Salary up to £64,050 per year on a 37-hour basic week, plus Overtime available (further details below)

Role
The Electrical Construction Manager has a key role in the SPT business, responsibility for managing CMT resource and outputs during Development, Procurement, Delivery and Closure for all major projects.
The Construction Manager will be responsible for the:
Lead the Development, Procurement (Prequalification / Tendering) and Construction delivery of the project scopes from concept to closure within the disaggregated models in line with CAPEX, for numerous projects.
Direct the management and delivery, as the assigned Principal Contractor, to ensure regulatory compliance with Health and Safety Law, CDM regulations 2015 and Environmental Legislation
Drive, manage and evaluate the commercial management and administration of each package of work to control CAPEX risk in line with Contractual Terms and Conditions with external stakeholders.
Direct, Deliver, manage, and monitor regulatory outputs in line with programmed milestones.
Manage, collaborate, and monitor all supply, civil, electrical, cable & ohl packages to ensure all Health & Safety and O&M of the built environment is recorded, validated, and stored for future design & maintenance use.
What you will bring
Primary proven knowledge and experience in planning and managing all specifications, designs, maintenance, construction, and commissioning of Electrical works within the confines of a Transmission substation environment.
Strong ability to interpret Electrical schematic and wiring design drawings in relation to primary plant installation and protection & control systems with strict adherence to inspection and testing regimes.
Basic Knowledge in engaging and delivering civil, OHL and cable packages of work.
Strong leadership & planning skills.
Suitable experience in Contract Management, including the control and agreement of variations and claims.
Strong effective awareness of the management of NEC / FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
Proven ability to Lead, Manage, Collaborate on several project outputs with a team and all external stakeholders.
Have knowledge and understanding in Line Management responsibilities, demonstrating an appreciation of how HR processes and procedures apply throughout a company
What you ll be doing
Control, management and monitor the development and delivery of the disaggregated supply and packaged contracts with an average CAPEX value between £10 to £30 million.
Lead, manage and coordinate the initial pre-qualification stages in advance of all supply chain contracts.
Lead, manage and evaluate high volume tendered deliverable contracts from initiation to Contract Award, to ensure technical compliance is maintained in line with Regulatory requirements.
Responsible for directing, implementing, and managing the agreed Project Delivery strategy reporting on all stakeholder performances in line with Matrix Management of a volume of project lifecycles to the Project Manager, Project Unit Manager and Lead Construction Manager.
Responsible for collaboration, coordination with Design Teams, Commissioning Manager, Project Managers and Site Managers to plan and monitor the works.
Organise, lead, manage and maintain consistent engagement within the project delivery team: Project Manager, Commissioning Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Engineering and HSQE managers, Community liaison, Developers and Landowners.
