About the role
We’re looking for a Commis Chef to join our award winning team at the Café on the Water at Hanningfield Reservoir. Working as part of our customer friendly team you’ll be responsible for providing high quality catering and hospitality service to our customers.
You’ll be assisting with the delivery of the day to day provision of food and beverage/menu development/ food production and preparation at Café on the Water, Hanningfield Reservoir. The successful candidate will need to maintain the high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen, taking in of deliveries, assisting the chefs in the preparation of food and menu items.
The key aspects of this role will be to provide support to commercial activities and passive recreational pursuits/catering and hospitality with a dual aim of maximising profitability and enhancement of the company’s image and reputation through the provision of a high standard of customer service.
You’ll have excellent customer service skills as you will be required to be consistently working towards exceeding our customers’ expectations. Experience of working in a customer service environment, including face to face contact is essential as well as the ability to work off your own initiative.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment. A flexible approach to duties and working hours is essential.
